০৬) আশাবিহীন জীবন নেই। সবার জীবনেই আশা আছে। কেই ডাক্তার হতে চায়, কেউ ইঞ্জিনিয়ার হতে চায়, আবার কেউবা রাজনীতিবিদ হতে চায়। তবে বেশিরভাগেরই ইচ্ছা ধনী হওয়া। হঠাৎ করে ধনী হবার জন্য আজকাল অনেকেই অসৎ পন্থা অবলম্বন করে।

Translation: There is no life without hope. Everybody has hope in life. Someone wants to be a doctor. Someone wants to be an engineer. Again, someone wants to be a politician. But most of them want to be rich. Nowadays, many adopt unfair means to be rich all on a sudden.

 

০৭) নকল করা ভাল নয়। নকল করাকে সবাই ঘৃণা করে। তবু কিছু কিছু ছাত্র-ছাত্রী নকল করে। নকল করে কেউ বড় হতে পারেনি। বড় হতে হলে চাই নিজের গুণ।

Translation: Copying is not good. Everybody hates copying. Yet some students copy. Nobody has become great by copying. To be great, one needs one’s own quality.

 

০৮) বাংলাদেশে প্রায় ১৬ কোটি লোক বাস করে। অধিকাংশ লোক নিরক্ষর। তারা পড়তেও জানে না, লিথতেও জানে না। অথচ লেখাপড়া না জানলে মানুষ উন্নতি করতে পারে না। শিক্ষিত জনগোষ্ঠী দেশের সম্পদ।

Translation: About 16 crores of people live in Bangladesh. Most of the people are illiterate. They do not know how to read or write. Whereas, without literacy no man can prosper in life. The educated people are the asset of the country.

 

০৯) চেষ্টা করিলে কাজে সফলকাম হওয়া যায়। যে স্বয়ং চেষ্টা করে আল­াহ তাদের সহায় হন। পৃথিবীতে যাঁহারা বড় লোক হইয়াছেন তাঁহাদের জীবনী হইতে আমরা এই শিক্ষাই পাইয়া থাকি। বিদ্যা-ই হউক আর ধন-ই হউক, স্বয়ং চেষ্টা না করিলে কেহই তাহা লাভ করিতে পারে না।

Translation: One can be successful by trying. He, who tries, is helped by Allah. We get this lesson from the lives of those who have been great in the world. No one can gain education or riches, without trying by oneself.

১০) কিছুদিন আগে আমি গ্রামের বাড়িতে গিয়েছিলাম। তখন ছিল বর্ষাকাল। প্রবল বর্ষায় পথ ঘাট ডুবে গিয়েছিল। বাড়িতে পৌছতে খুব কষ্ট হয়েছিল। কিন্তু পৌছানোর পর পথের সব কষ্ট ভুলে গিয়েছিলাম।

Translation: I went to my village home some days ago. Then it was rainy season. The roads were under water for heavy rainfall. I suffered great hardship to reach home. But I forgot everything after reaching home.
